From the Director
Bus Stop is an uproarious, yet bittersweet comedy that never strays from the truth. William Inge's plays are a great comfort to all of us. It brings to the theatre a kind of warm-hearted comparison and appreciation of average humanity that is wonderfully touching and stimulating. The play looks at love in various forms, from the innocent to the more desperately looking for someone to love—at any cost. These are subtle lessons, delivered with simple grace.
