 THE STORY: What could be more perfect than a holiday vacation in Los Angeles ? Well….lots of things, as 10 people discover in Neil Simon's rollicking comedy, California Suite . A hard core New York divorcee fights her sun-worshipper ex to keep their teenage daughter on the straight and narrow, i.e. New York, lifestyle; an injured tennis enthusiast's vacation with best friends starts to resemble the Wide World of Wrestling run amok; a British movie star loses another Oscar (AGAIN) and a nice Jewish guy looking for fun at his nephew's bar mitzvah finds a lot more fun than he bargained for. This Simon show has been produced to great success on stage and screen (who can forget Maggie Smith and Michael Caine?) since 1976 and continues to be relevant and highly enjoyable with each successive year.
The holiday season is a time for wassail, caroling, shopping non-stop, and relaxing with a good book or a laugh-filled night at the theatre. Join us for our revival production of California Suite and start your holiday celebration in the right spirit!
