After being convicted of a petty crime, a charming, rebellious rogue named McMurphy contrives to serve his short sentence in an airy mental institution rather than in a prison. This, he soon learns, was a mistake. He immediately

It is important to note pre-casting is prohibited for our mainstage productions. As a community theatre, we believe in having as many participants onstage as is possible and may dissuade double casting when applicable.

Chief Bromden: A massive Native American patient who has pretended to be deaf and dumb for years; he observes everything.
 

Randle P. McMurphy: A loud, charismatic, and rebellious patient who fakes insanity to avoid prison labor, bringing life to the ward.
 

Nurse Ratched: The cold, calculating head nurse who rules the ward with strict conformity and psychological manipulation
 

Dale Harding: An intellectual patient who helps guide McMurphy on how the ward operates.
 

Dr. Spivey: The often-ignored doctor who manages the ward but is controlled by Ratched.
 

Billy Bibbit: A timid, stuttering young man struggling with a fixation on his mother, manipulated by Ratched.
 

Martini: A patient on the ward who suffers from hallucinations. McMurphy includes him in the card games and board games with the other patients.
 

Cheswick: A patient on the war and the first to support McMurphy’s rebellions against Nurse Ratched. 
 

Scanlon: An Acute; the only other patient on the ward who was involuntarily committed besides McMurphy. 
 

Sefelt: An epileptic patient who despises taking his medication because they cause his teeth to fall out.
 

Candy Starr & Sandra: Friends of McMurphy who come to the ward.
 

Aides Warren, Washington, Williams, and Turkle: Orderlies hired by Ratched for their harshness.
 

Nurse Flinn: A nervous nurse on the ward.
