Our 2026 Youth Production:
Read-through May 21 at 6:00 PM
Rehearsals will be on Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays from 6:00 to 8:00 PM until it gets closer to tech. Ensemble kids will only have to be at the last few week.

Cast size: Approximately 26. Variable number of hobbits and other inhabitants of Middle Earth.
THE STORY: It's unusual for a modern work to become a classic so quickly, but Tolkien's "ring" stories, which began with The Hobbit, clearly are in this very special category. They stir the imagination and intellect of everyone they touch. Bilbo, one of the most conservative of all Hobbits, is asked to leave his large, roomy and very dry home in the ground in order to set off as chief robber in an attempt to recover an important treasure. It's the last thing that any sensitive Hobbit would want to do, but great benefit eventually results—not only for Bilbo but for all of the Hobbits who inhabit Middle Earth—and the hearts of those children and adults who continue to enjoy this kind of magic.

“Roads go ever ever on…” and our next great adventure is officially underway!

WOW! What an incredible turnout for auditions for *The Hobbit*! We were absolutely blown away by the talent, enthusiasm, and heart that everyone brought into the room. As Gandalf once said, *“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us,”* and you all made our decision-making wonderfully difficult!"
Because so many amazing performers auditioned, we have decided to split the production into TWO casts, with each cast performing two performances:
Junior Cast Performances
Thursday, July 9 at 7:00 PM
Saturday, July 11 at 1:00 PM
We have divided the casts into Junior and Teen groups. There were a few performers right on the borderline, and casting decisions were made based on the needs of specific roles and the overall balance of the production. In some cases, we also tried to keep younger siblings with older siblings in the Teen production when possible—though unfortunately that could not happen in every case.
Please remember: “Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.”* Every role in this production matters, no matter the size, and every cast member is an important part of bringing Middle-earth to life.
Thank you again to everyone who auditioned. We cannot wait to begin this unexpected journey together!
